The N of 1 Philosophy

Most programs are built around trends, aesthetics, or someone else's results. N of 1 is built around one thing… you.

We train for capacity. To paddle out, pick up your kids, move without hesitation, and say yes to the things you love. Not just today. For decades to come.

the 3-step process - know • build • own

   01

Know yourself.

Before anything gets built, we measure what actually matters. Aerobic capacity, strength, power, joint capacity, body composition, recovery. Your baseline. Not a template.

   02

Build your foundation.

Training designed around your data, your goals, and your season. Not a fixed program, a living system.

   03

Own your training.

When the foundation is solid, you take the wheel. We stay in the picture — calibrating, catching drift, adjusting as seasons change. Independence is the goal; we help you stay dialed in.

The Annual Functional Physical

Signature Service

Three sessions. Six anchors. A complete picture of where you are, where you're headed — and what your future self will thank you for starting now.

  • Context // Movement // Physiology

We start with a comprehensive intake conversation covering your training history, goals, injury history, and lifestyle load — followed by an integrated movement assessment and baseline physiological markers.

This is where we understand the system before stressing it. No testing until we know what we're working with.

  • Neuromuscular Capacity

Strength, power, and muscular endurance testing selected based on your background and movement quality from Session 1.

Not a fixed battery — every test is chosen because it tells us something specific about you. Spaced 3–5 days after Session 1 to allow full recovery and accurate results.

  • Energy Systems // Full Interpretation

Aerobic and anaerobic capacity testing, followed by a full walkthrough of your results across all six anchors.

You leave with a clear picture of what the numbers mean, not just what they are, but what they tell us about where you're headed and what to prioritize first.

Spaced 2-4 days after Session 2 to allow full recovery and accurate results.

  • Optional, but recommended — it's the most complete tissue picture available outside a research lab.

DEXA gives us muscle mass, fat distribution, and bone density with a precision that no scale or body fat percentage can match.

Scheduled separately and prior to Session 3 through BodyScan OC and integrated into your AFP report.

N of 1 Athletics discount available.

  • A written document you keep.

Six-anchor results, cross-anchor pattern analysis, a decade projection based on your current trajectory, and prioritized next steps.

Not a template — written specifically for you, based on your data and your goals. Something you'll reference again when you retest in a year and as you mature.

Where rehab ends, most coaches stop.

The Doctor-Coach

I became a PT to help people move well for the rest of their lives — not just recover from the injury in front of them. N of 1 exists because that gap is real.

what comes next

Clarity first, then we build.

Clients who complete the AFP can continue into ongoing monthly coaching and training — a more hands-on structured track, or a lighter calibrated track for those who want to fine-tune and support their established training routine.

Both are billed monthly. Spots open alongside the AFP founding cohort.

This is how you want to age.

AFP spots are limited and currently open to a founding group. Subscribe to Between Sets & Sips — that's where AFP spots are announced first and where you'll hear from me when they open.

(No spam. No automated sequences. Just a personal note when spots open.)
